Breaking News: Homes to Replace Starkey Blueberry Market

More sad news for the future fate of the Starkey Blueberry Market – in addition to the apartment complex being built, more homes to be built on this beautiful property! David Weekely Homes has started the permitting process to build 147 homes where the Starkey Blueberry Farm currently sits. This new development will be near the intersection of Starkey Blvd and Lake Blanche Road, adjacent to the Starkey Ranch Community and across the street from Longleaf.

As you can see in the images above, the Pasco County Property Appraisers office already reflects the new streets and street names for this new development. There is no word on the development’s name or how these new 147 homes will impact Starkey Ranch K8 and Longleaf Elementary Schools.

Longleaf Neighborhood 4 – The Final Neighborhood

The final phase of development in the beautiful community of Longleaf has started. Neighborhood 4 will be the last section developed in Longleaf bringing nearly 400 new homes to the area. Included are a mix of townhomes and single-family residences.

Breaking News: Starkey Blueberry Farm to close. Replaced by Apartments!

As reported in the Pasco County Development & Growth Updates Facebook Group, the Starkey Family is closing the Starkey Farm located on the corner of Lake Blanche and Starkey Blvd and has applied to have the property rezoned for an apartment complex, containing 499 homes! 

499 residential units proposed at Starkey Blueberry Farm (approximately 90 acres). The owner, SRi2, LLC an entity controlled by Frank and Jay Starkey has submitted a site development proposal to Pasco County for the development of 499 units on Lake Blanch Rd. This would result in the removal of the existing blue berry farm.

This is within the existing Starkey Ranch MPUD which in 2017 was approved for development of up to 5050 dwelling units. It is unknown if this proposal would require commission approval or not given its already within the MPUD.

Reaction from the local community has been swift and disappointment in the Starkey Family for turning this once beautiful property in to an apartment complex appears to be a common theme.

The Grove at Seven Springs is coming to Trinity. Located near the corner of State Road 54 and Little Road in the growing community of Trinity, The Grove at Seven Springs will feature 104,000 aqft of retail space, 35,000 sqft of office space over 75 acres of property. Lennar Homes will be building 600 homes on over 220 acres of land adjoining this new development.

Coming Soon: Starkey Ranch Business Park

Coming soon to the corner of State Road 54 and Heart Pine Blvd will be the Starkey Ranch Business Park. Current proposals show 325,000 square feet of total space split between commercial and industrial use. This includes a 125 room, 4 story hotel.

Other building proposed include a 7 story parking garage, and industrial building, two four story medical buildings and an aircraft simulation training building. This is sure to bring some high tech and high paying jobs to Starkey Ranch, Odessa and the surrounding Trinity communities! 

The development is being proposed by GNP Development and is being reviewed by Pasco County.

Coming Soon: The District at Mitchell Ranch

Suncoast News is reporting that plans are moving forward for a “Town Square” in Trinity that has been tentatively named, “The District at Mitchell Ranch”.

The development will be in what the county calls the South Market Area, “envisioned as an urban gateway opportunity area with intensification supported by transit opportunities and to be developed in a manner which will enhance energy efficiency and conservation and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.” It is also considered an “urban gateway” and an area ripe for creating employment opportunities.

The complex will be structured like a town, with a main street, central square, parkland, multiuse trail, elevated parking deck and pedestrian access; a bus stop and accommodations for bikes are also envisioned.

Mitchell Ranch is a project of the Mitchell Ranch Partnership LTD, a merger of Pasco County and M&M Route 54 West LLC, a Florida limited liability company with a Piscataway, N.J., business address, created specifically for this project.

We are so excited that the highly anticipated Mexican restaurant Cantina Viajero has opened in the Trinity Tuscan Village at 1338 Epiphany Way, N-103 in Trinity, which is located at the corner of Trinity Blvd and Little Road. We stopped in for a meal there and were blown away by the friendly staff, the cleanliness and the amazing meal! Even our kids loved the food and they are pretty picky eaters!
