Coming Soon: The District at Mitchell Ranch

15 Feb

Suncoast News is reporting that plans are moving forward for a “Town Square” in Trinity that has been tentatively named, “The District at Mitchell Ranch”.

The development will be in what the county calls the South Market Area, “envisioned as an urban gateway opportunity area with intensification supported by transit opportunities and to be developed in a manner which will enhance energy efficiency and conservation and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.” It is also considered an “urban gateway” and an area ripe for creating employment opportunities.

The complex will be structured like a town, with a main street, central square, parkland, multiuse trail, elevated parking deck and pedestrian access; a bus stop and accommodations for bikes are also envisioned.

Mitchell Ranch is a project of the Mitchell Ranch Partnership LTD, a merger of Pasco County and M&M Route 54 West LLC, a Florida limited liability company with a Piscataway, N.J., business address, created specifically for this project.

Architecture information from Dorsky+Yue gives us a rendered glimpse of what this project may look like: https://dorskyyue.com/portfolio/the-district-at-mitchell-ranch/ According to their website:

The District at Mitchell Ranch in New Port Richey, Florida, is a fully walkable residential and commercial mixed-use Transit-Oriented-Development integrating retail, residential, office, fitness, and entertainment on 43 acres creating a vibrant community and destination.

Coming Soon: Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop in Starkey Ranch

23 Jul

According to a news article posted here, Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop will soon be opening a location in Starkey Ranch.

A taste of Philadelphia’s legendary Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop is closer than you think to opening up here in the Tampa Bay area!

They’re quite popular in Pennsylvania, Delaware, New York and Washington. And now they’re coming to Florida. The closest one to us at the moment is in Atlanta, but they have big plans to enter the Tampa area with over a dozen locations in the works. Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop was founded in 1976. They now have over 100 locations around the United States. The first two Tampa area locations will open this summer. One will be in Odessa in Starkey Ranch. The other will be in Lutz at the Willow Bend Towne Center. Others will later open in Hillsborough, Pasco, Polk and Pinellas counties.

Can your taste buds handle what Capriotti’s is cooking?

Let’s Eat: Central Park Family Restaurant

17 Mar

Central Park Family Restaurant is an amazing little family run restaurant in Trinity. We’ve been ordering from them since the Covid-19 outbreak earlier in 2020 and their food and service has always been tremendous. They are located at 7657 State Road 54 in Trinity and are open 7 days a week from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m.

We frequently order both breakfast and dinner from Central Park and have always been impressed by their food. Their extensive menu has a ton of offerings for just about any tastes! My personal favorites are their French toast, Philly Cheesesteaks, fresh pressed Cuban and the fish and chips!

Here’s some additional information provided from their website:

“Originally from New York City, we have served millions the great taste of a New York Diner here in Florida. We vow to our customers to bring the taste of home style cooking with reasonable prices. Quality and customer service has always been our number one priority. Unlike other food establishments or businesses “we are here to make friends!” Please enjoy your dining experience with us and help us continue to grow by telling your friends and family.
